Quiet Retreat Close to City Centre and Lake

Negative: Carpark in basement

Quiet retreat needs a tweak Positive: The location & cleanliness. The availability of a/c & ceiling fans. The kitchen was excellent & had good amenities. Negative: The steps as I have knee problems. The tv was difficult to use, not connected to a standard aerial, but to the internet, good when internet is working. But difficult to connect to major tv channels. Bed was probably too soft for our needs, but that's a personal preference

Quiet and convenient location but very disappointing in other aspects. Positive: It was a quiet and convenient location, as advertised. The bed was comfortable. Negative: It was not particularly clean, particularly the bathroom which was in need of renovating. There was no toilet roll holder so they were stored on a storage spike next to the toilet. There was grease on the cupboards in the kitchen and also on the inadequate lights. One of the chairs was very rickety and not safe to sit on. There were no wine glasses or coffee making machine apart from an unsatisfactory plastic filter holder (pictured). The small laundry area had no lighting. And lastly, the sorry state of the pot plants confirmed the general lack of care taken.

Positive: Great location, central to all that Canberra has to offer.
