Modish Flat near Parliamentary Triangle

Canberra is beautiful in autumn, and this is the place for a couple to stay Positive: Roomy apartment for two, comfortable bed, full kitchen and laundry facilities, good bathroom. Beautiful outlook through big windows to interior communal garden space. Quiet location despite multi-storey, multi block complex. Double glazing. Car park in the basement. Small supermarket and coffee shops across the road, restaurants across the road and nearby at Kingston (1km) and Kingston Foreshore (1.5km), all walkable. Bus stop into town one street over, about every 10 mins and a 14 min ride into town for about $3, and you can just wave your credit card on and off for fares, no special tickets to arrange. 10 min walk to National Gallery, Portrait Gallery, Old/New Parliament House. Negative: Everything about the unit was great. I was a bit surprised to get notification the day before that I didn't have access until 4pm though, 2pm is pretty standard most places. 10am exit on your last day is still expected. You can vary these with extra fees. I got spammed overnight the night before my arrival demanding confirmations despite paying in full well in advance, I'm glad I didn't see the messages until after I got into the accommodation. I expect the booking.com account was hacked, the messages were suspicious at a glance and had links. The owner contacted me as soon as they were aware of the messages and handled it as well as could be expected for this sort of unexpected event.

A nice 1 bedroom apartment for an extended stay on a business trip. Positive: Nice big apartment. Would have been good for an extended stay. Kitchen well equipped and stocked. Thank you. Negative: Not much that I didn’t like. Foxtel didn’t work at first, but when contacted, the host gave me good instructions to rectify it, so a negative became a positive. Not a criticism, but it would be nice to have a tv in the bedroom. (First world problems!)

Lovely apartment, lots to see and do Positive: Nice and modern, comfortable bed, good shower Negative: Long way to walk to Canberra Centre (40 minutes). Got asked for payment asap when we had already paid. Been back almost a week and they still haven’t confirmed payment. Takes shine off break
