Family friendly 4BR Apartment near Mt. Stromlo

Positive: Good location close to our family member who lives in Canberra. Negative: Where do I start? First, it ISN'T a town house. Its a single level apartment. We specifically booked a town house because, with a large group, its good to have bedrooms & living areas on a different level so people can rest undisturbed by others. Second - shabby finishes. Curtains hanging of the rails, windows frames with tape to keep them working, no screens on some windows, rails in some wardrobes unable to hold the weight of 1 shirt! Only 1 towel rail in bathroom & 1 hook on back of bathroom door - you can see where another fell off!! Only 6 towels supplied for a booking of 7 adults - had to request extra! Mattress in main bedroom saggy - like a hammock! Has given me shoulder & back pain. Electronic door lock has to be held at *just* the right position to lock from outside or the latch doesn't catch. Part of an apartment complex which is not very well kept. Car park unsecured. Property manager lists option of early check-in if available, but asked an extra $55 fee! Honestly - it was OK, but at the price, certainly not up to expectations.

Lovely apartment, very clean. Positive: Great kitchen, comfortable beds. Very quiet at night

Overall a good property for a family needing space. Communication with the host was excellent. Some pans needed an extra clean and the location was a little further out of Canberra than I expected. Stayed with my extended family and it was good.

Positive: Great location and having undercover parking was a bonus.
