City apartment with Mountain views - NISHI

Light-filled, well appointed, great location

A nice, compact apartment with a lovely veranda seating area with a great view of Black Mountain (though only 3 floors up from a busy street, so a bit noisy). Currently somewhat cutoff from the centre of town by the light rail construction. Check-in awkward for international travellers as it requires internet access on the day of arrival to receive the code. Minor things: the lighting is not great, the options either too bright or too dim (though lots of natural light during the day) and a bedside lamp would be nice. The shower enclosure does a poor job of preventing water spraying on the floor outside.

Took me back to my Uni days of cheap accomodation but triple as much and no bunk mates Positive: The location was great and easy check in and out. The staff were friendly even though unable satisfy my requests. Quite cozy. Negative: The place wasn’t cleaned properly either time they allegedly cleaned it. I went out and as so little had been cleaned I didn’t realise they had been there until they sent me two photos one was just a photo under the bed which wasn’t an issue I had raised. I ended up cleaning the place myself before having friends over. The internet was slow, dropped out and was not fixed during my stay.
